Ever since I was young, I've been into drawing. Although I'm mostly self taught and more of a doodler than an "artist", I think my work has a unique aesthetic. My style combines fine, clean lines with colorful, psychedelic-inspired designs and playful images. These influences create a dreamlike world that depict my interest in cars, baseball, music, travel, food, dogs... life in general. Thanks for looking, I hope you enjoy my work!

Ghost

I've been slacking on the posting lately, but here's a belated Halloween inspired one. It's admittedly not very scary.

Rio de Janiero

The Bondi is a cable car that runs over an old aqueduct in Rio. It connects the neighborhoods of Lapa and St. Teresa, up in the hills above the city. I wanted to keep this drawing loose, so I didn't do it in pencil first or worry about it being sloppy.

I Need You Like A Fish Needs A Bike

I don't know where I heard this term, or if it's even something people say, but I liked it.

Floating Mercedes

After a rough day driving the kids all around town, gossiping at the tennis club, and a trip to the farmers market, mommy has a few of her special pills and floats away on billowing clouds of joy...

Shea Stadium

In honor of their last day of the season...

Shea Stadium 2010. I slipped terribly on the right side, but I like it anyway.

The Tennis Champion

A few years ago, I read about a top-secret indoor tennis club in New York that had been going for over a hundred years, but no one knew much about it. The richest, most powerful people in the world went there, basically to do whatever they wanted. Some members once rolled a priceless sculpture onto the runway at JFK as a prank. Why you would do that if you could do anything in the world, I have no idea. Mayor Bloomberg was a member, but quit before he ran for office. The whole thing was a little too Caligula/ Louis the 14th for the proletariat's taste. Moral of the story: Rich people can do whatever they please. This acrylic painting is based on a photo of a member from the article.

The Clam Castle

The Clam Castle is a childhood favorite that's still there today. (Rt 1 on the Madison/Clinton line) It'd be a good place to have a wedding. I went there last summer, and this is an acrylic painting of it.

Montevideo Disco

'Disco' is a supermarket chain in Argentina and Uruguay. Sounds way more fun than 'Stop and Shop'

Piles

These pictures represent the things we accumulate in life, as well as the experiences we live through, the images we see, and the huge jumble of products we encounter every day. They're arranged randomly in a sort of dream-like free association, like walking down a city street and being overwhelmed by images & information.

New York vs. Philadelphia

I drew this when the rivalry had more relevance. Sorry Mr. Met, there's always next year.

Stumps

I like to draw the intricate details of tree bark and wood boards. It's precise, but at the same time imperfect. Unlike a man-made object, you can't really draw it the wrong way.

BMW 2002

This is one of my favorite cars, made between 1962-1977. The round bug headlights make it seem very friendly. He'd say, "hey man, how's it going? Let's go for a drive." I'd think it was weird that my car talked, but I'd go anyway, because he seems pretty cool.

Lamborghini Countach

This drawing was inspired by my elementary school Trapper Keeper. It's like an image you'd find on a calendar at a mechanics, or in the break room at Subway. It should probably have some lightening bolts behind it, and the woman looks a little too wholesome.

It's Hip to be Square

Huey Lewis and the News' "Fore" was the first tape I ever owned. I seriously thought they were cooler than Led Zeppelin.
